Set Description:

One Shall Stand One Shall Fall, Till All are One!

Looking back Transformers were so advanced for its time. Honestly I think it was a horrible thing to do to a kid, with over 50+ characters between the toys, comics and cartoon it was like a full time job. I am from Southern Cali and I still remember stores like Gemco, Zody's, Fedco and Montgomery Ward that had aisles dedicated to Transformers. It look almost like a shrine when your only 9. I collected all the Decepticons and my cousin, Todd, who had most of the Autobots. We would battle when he came over to play. Oh the quality of "made in japan" just the printed words on it gave you a sense of craftsmanship. Metal and plastic parts that transformed to actual cars and planes of that era. Transformers will always be my favorite toy and comic of all time. Unlike superheroes that focus on few main characters Transformers were almost always so much more complicated with depth and a vast cast of characters.

This Comic started out as a 4 issue set but due to popular demand it continued on for 80 issues. That alone outlines the success of the franchise. To honor the fallen I had the four issues commemorative set each cgc 9.8 white pages custom framed accompanied by a Tom Whalen silkscreen masterpiece titled, " Space Bridge". This is not the first cgc comics I framed, I have lots of collectibles and often feel sad it is hidden in a coffin like white box while I visit the resting grounds routinely. Framing it allows me and others to enjoy it at another level.
