Set Description:
DOUBLE COVER! Shang-Chi, Midnight, and deaths, who'd of thought with Kung-Fu. It turns deadly to speak of treachery, and in the end, you must know the bad to understand the good of the martial arts. For defense it shall be but be quick on your feat warrior! Coming at you fast in the power of Shang-Chi, yes, it is, in print to media and beyond. All to the grateful eye and ear of some traditional values. Keep looking up and listening to the wind grasshopper. Like lightning, the goal is to reflex with a karate chop, and collect them all.
Shang Chi has had some fun in the sun and proved that Kung Fu can still stand on its own in modern times, especially when the brand is Marvel. One can hope that Marvel is never done, or shall we say Disney?

Specials aren't just for Sunday morning cartoons, but it might as well fit the score of background music for this set, not at all zanies in the written text, but a bit of the heart growing fonder for those moody disciplines and moves; Kung-Fu! They could call it choreographed dance numbers, but everyone thinks they can fight until someone gets punched in the mouth. By and by the ways of defense take out all the stops to go on in ongoing fashion to shake off those sweats, stretch the glutes, and have the jumping flying action that bend this way and backwards. Like I said the comics aren't written with the zanies but kept more serious with all the mood in play. Let's Dance! Many games and so on have made the grade from this style of fighting as of Shang-Chi. Movies and ephemera to keep it all coming and going!

1st appearance of Shang-Chi, Fu Manchu & Sir Denis Nayland Smith. 1st app. & ""death"" of Dr. James Petrie. Some prescreen passes were available for this movie called the "Legend of the Ten Rings", although I believe I let my brother take someone to that showing. I enjoyed the comradery from him getting a "kung-fu" flick to see and report back if it was worth the viewing. Indeed, it was, and I had to see if I could collect some issues. It still flies a bit under the radar for me, but I remember having a shot at it to purchase at Half Price Books! I didn't have the presence of mind to understand what it was, or the importance of it at the time. Live and learn, an expensive lesson, as I bought this off Ebay at $463. Quite the difficult black cover, with not that many issues on the census, comparatively, yet there are still enough slabs out there to meet demand. I'm sure that Marvel will not let its few martial arts properties slip by the wayside! Nicely Centered, imo, super happy to add this to the collection!
Complete with my Martial Artist Brother and I with Chuck! The Norris, OH YEAH! It was taken at Fan Expo Dallas 2018, where we got multiple prints to give out to family. As any southerner who loved Walker Texas Ranger would do? IDK but that is what we did! Time to break out the TMNT Nunchaku! That was an experience! Because I walked into the photo saying we love you, and Chuck just let out a grunt of acknowledgement to proceed. I'm surprised he posed as it went so fast, I hadn't noticed at the time, just thanking him for who he was as the main focus! That is great for a back cover picture.
Grader Notes:
light creasing to cover;
light foxing back cover;
multiple spine stress lines breaks color.

Double Cover!! Outer Cover 5.5 probably due to stains, and inner cover 7.0, label 7.0! 2nd Appearance of Shang-Chi! 1st appearance and death of Midnight! The movie was well received in a way. It didn't disappoint too much. Given the "new" Marvel generation, it might have a future. There has always been Marvel Zombies, that will continue I'm sure, with how much of a big deal people make out of them. Kung-Fu is a time-honored transition, add a bit of modern effects with a little old world "knowledge", and you can make a plausible plot out of anything. Do the character's really have character and sustainability in the entertainment industry is what I'd like to hope for. This yellow double cover hit the sweet spot for collecting niche for me. I bought it already slabbed, so it would be interesting to read the reason's it graded the way it did.
Complete with a back cover picture of the last issue of what was a solo story, which was then called Master of Kung Fu! A long 125 issue journey, which continued after Marvel Special Edition, he just walks off into the night!
Grader Notes:
double cover;
light creasing to cover;
moderate spine stress lines to cover;
moderate staining to cover;
very light tears to cover.
