Set Description:
This Starslayer can slap and dive, especially in issue #3. He's out to help the lonesome and find whatever it is they are looking for, but that takes weaves and turns. These space ladies are looking to protect their ancestry, and it is none too easy on this, the Starslayer. It takes some robots, space crafts, and some other world adventures to get lucky! Who should emerge but a Rocketeer that escapes the villainy by rocketing, and also, bobbing and weaving by a "finned" helmet! Aerodynamics? You don't say!?!
Rocketeer is as handy and needed as ever against the files and forces that take up arms. Complete with Dave Stevens as the writer, author, and creator. A lone wolf with as much tenacity as a young buck, with the love to match!

Reading in the ways of Star Trek like stories but more for the treasures that are in a universe, and also namely SPACE! The ships and ways are colliding with infiltrators inside the crafts, and machines whirling to life to "try" their best in limited capacity. Starslayer and a looker of a woman are side by side for the good of their relationship, but there are hard choices being made and early in the series. They are not sure if they will "be together forever" or "have to part ways as best friends forever!" Those make for the interrelations between space and man, and the kind of hope that we have with gravity weighing emotions in an intergalactic antigravity realm. Beings and bodies floating everywhere, except for the ambitions firmly rooted.

Origin and 1st full appearance of the Rocketeer, by the illustrious creator Dave Stevens; pin-up on back cover to boot! On the label at least, and yes, it is the fine, super fine, damsel that needs impressing and protecting. Classic adrenaline that keeps pace with Rockets! It is the one that made film with a beautiful display all around. Back drop of old-time war days, where these rockets seem to just strap to ones back, and then you can fly! What are you high? Only the daring daredevil The Rocketeer dares defy those dastardly deviants. It'll straight up take guts and a few mess-ups while in flight, then you've got it down pact! Do not forget to account for the angle, the girl, the good guy needs one, and Dave Stevens makes it believable and serves it up right. Don't forget the Home of the Brave! Bought at Fan Expo Dallas Comic Con 2022 on the 2nd day, Saturday, for $105. I traded in a bit, 3 books, including 1 silver age a very good condition Hawk and Dove #1. The cost of the trade in was basically nothing, but it marked the Starslayer down from $135 to a straight $100! Nicely done according to GoCollect, although at this time according to the latest Ebay sales, I might could have scored a higher grade. It may go back up in value, collect the book not always the grade!
Complete with a back cover picture of the insides to issue #3- with Betty! The Rocketeer flies to a rescue! Coming to save the day from the side of a plane! Including talk of some experimental engine!?
Grader Notes:
light creasing to cover;
light spine stress lines to cover.
