CWNA MEDAL APPEARANCE/CONDITION:
TOP POP: Sterling Silver Variety — Choice Brilliant Gem+
*A near perfect example in MS-68. Of the counterparts I currently own (bronze and gold-filled), neither grade this high. The detail is utterly impeccable and the eye-appeal is draw-dropping. Not only is this issue rare, but owning an example that is nearly “perfect?” That is what true rarity indicates!*
CWNA MEDAL BACKGROUND:
Issued as the inaugural medal of the Colorado-Wyoming Numismatic Association and to commemorate the 'Pike's Peak Silver Mine.' The association was founded in 1952, as noted on the medal. — Additionally, Neal of Coloradolables believes only 2-5 Sterling examples exist; gifted to high-ranking CWNA officials. Therefore, I am grateful to own one and include it in this collection.
