*A gorgeous example of this exceptionally rare issue. Although the fine details are somewhat crude on the obverse, the overall design details are exceptional. Light toning presents itself on both the obverse/reverse.*

MEDAL BACKGROUND:
Struck circa 1961 to commemorate the “The Confederate States of America” which was issued in Denver, Colorado. APMEX notes the following: “This medal was struck as a reference piece to the Great Seal of the Confederate States of America.” — Very minimal information is available regarding this medal. If anyone has additional background, please let me know!
