Owner Comments:

Made of copper and struck to commemorate the 112th anniversary of the evacuation of Valley Forge by the Continental Army under the command of General George Washington, this medal is one of only three examples that have been graded by NGC. One has been graded MS-63 and two; this piece and one other are tied for the title of finest known at MS-67. The surfaces are clean, lustrous and well struck with a beautiful silky dark chocolate brown color. The overall rarity is R5 (76-200 known).
