NGC US Coin Census for So-Called Dollars - Hibler & Kappen

Owner Comments:

This is another medal that was issued by the city of Easton, Pennsylvania to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the first meeting of their Burgesses (elected or unelected officials) and like HK-618, it is very rare. It was missed and not listed in either edition of Hibler & Kappen’s So-Called Dollars an Illustrated Standard Catalog, but due to its design being somewhat similar to that of HK-618, NGC has assigned it the HK# 618B. It is made of white metal and is holed as made. Its luster is much better than I was able to capture in my photos and it is actually quite flashy in hand. The NGC census shows that they have graded only 3 of these medals, 1 at MS-61, this piece at MS-62 and 1 higher at MS-63. There is no listed overall rarity for this medal. However, in my opinion, it is probably either R6 or R7.
