Owner Comments:

This extremely rare Bird’s Eye View Dollar from the 1892-3 World’s Columbian Exposition was not listed in either edition of Hibler & Kappen’s So-Called Dollars: An Illustrated Standard Catalog, presumably because it was unknown at the time. However, it was assigned the HK number 167C by NGC when it was submitted for grading. It is made of gilt brass and shares the same obverse and reverse designs as HK-167. It has been graded MS-64 Deep Proof-Like by NGC and to my knowledge, it is the only example of this medal to be certified by any grading company. There is no listed rarity for this medal. However, it is obviously very rare and, in my opinion, likely as rare as R8 (5-10 known).
