STORY TITLE:
"The Beginning of the End: Part 1"
PERSONAL COMMENTS:
Its amazing that this comic was where one of the most popular characters to come out of the 90’s originated from. From Deadpool Killing the Marvel Universe, Killing our past story’s, and eventually looking to off himself, if it has Deadpool in it apparently it’s a hit. Have you seen how much the Deadpool variants go for.

SO HOW MANY ARE THEIR K???
Jesus, This one has a ton of them out there. Just recently a single 10 Gem was released out into the Comiclink wild only to be scooped up for a ton of cash. Heck there are eight in 9.9 and one in 9.9SS. But why stop there, out of FOUR THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED AND THIRTY EIGHT………. Yep, there are a total of 1293 to include mine, with 139 Signature Series, 3 Qualified, and 1 Restored. Yeah. Out of the entire series this one is certainly the most graded. Maybe with some free time I’ll see how many have been graded total from this Set and compare the numbers.
ANY PLANS FOR THIS ONE???
Oh yes, the plan for the entire series was to get it completely signed by Rob Liefeld. While I would like to get this one quadruple signed by Liefeld, DelFalco, Nicieza, and Buccellato depending on how this one comes back I may hold off.
DID YOU MEET YOUR GOAL???
I’m hoping I got at least the first part through. Mine has been sent in to CCS following having been signed by Liefeld and currently sits at CGC in the Graded status which hopefully will change in the next coming week or so. Fingers crossed this one stays at 9.8 and I can add the SS to it but honestly if it comes back a 9.6 or lower I’ll probably follow through with the other signatures for the quadruple touch. If it does go up…. One can hope, then yeah, shows over stopping here. 9.8…. we’ll see how bold I feel like getting.
*Edit* yes it has been. Loved the color choice as it truly stands out on this one. Can't believe how far this book has come and its all because of a guy with a Black and Red fetish. Signed by Rob Liefeld if the chance comes that I can add Fabian Niceza to it then hell yes I will crack it and go for it.
SO HOW DID YOU GET THIS ONE???
This was part of a four-part purchase from a boardie to include this one as well as 87, 93, and 100. Gotta say my wife being cool with this entire purchase set for a birthday present was awesome.
MY TYPE OF SUMMARY:
So a random pony tailed guy is looking to punch some robots… oh look at that they come right out on page one and say his name is Gideon. For some reason he really reminds me of someone Jean Claude Van Dame fought in Blood Sport or something like it. Anyways he punch’s everything comes out walking away without breaking a sweat and then it is explained he is extremely wealthy.
Next we cut to Cable and Cannonball having some almost father and son time in the Danger Room. Cannonball starts testing his powers a little more, and then Cable does a little cheating where he decides to fire his arm laser… at him. Having said that I realize I have no idea where that came from. He doesn’t have arm laser powers but for some reason that’s what he shoots out.
He tells Cannonball to grow up and realize he is no longer a child in a family but a Soldier in the U.S. Cable Forces…
Sunspot’s father dies by and act of poisoning from one of Gideon’s cronies, and then cut back to Rictor and Boom Boom talking about going into the Morlock tunnel’s and then want to recover Rahne from Genosha. Next thing we know Cable gets blown up by the Merc with a Mouth, Deadpool. So Deadpool knocks him around, Cannonball gets knocked around and then Rictor gets choked out. Probably was going down hill until an albino with a blackeye shows up.
“Hi Domino”, says cable. Funny how she has a permanent blackeye and we decide to call her Domino. I guess she’s only a one… not gonna count the other black hole a little father down below. Anyways apparently a bunch of knives in a back works better than say Cable breaking his jaw and Cannonball going full force into his spine.
Anyways it all ends with Rictor ditching the team and Sunspot getting a bed side wake up by a shirtless Gideon. Honestly a little odd but yeah, a kid without a shirt gets a visit by a guy who can’t button his own. Oh yeah and now he’s here to tell him his father was killed, just leaves out the part he was the one who did it.

"The Beginning of the End, Pt. 2"
PERSONAL COMMENTS:
Up until a few years ago when they changed Shatterstar for the worse he was always one of my favorite characters. This being his first appearance was something that I thought was cool to have but watching Sunfire walk away in an almost Uncanny X-Men 138 manner made me appreciate this book even more. Have to say that as a kid I couldn’t understand why he didn’t know Gideon was simply manipulating him.

SO HOW MANY ARE THEIR K???
In total there are 87 books that have been graded by CGC. Of those 58 have obtained the peak grade of 9.8 and only 7 total books have been graded at 9.8SS . This one was purchased off another board member already done and happened to be only my fifth book I had in Signature Series when this set started.
ANY PLANS FOR THIS ONE???
Nope. This one was bought signed sealed and delivered and with great signature placement by Rob Liefeld
DID YOU MEET YOUR GOAL???
Yep, it’s been signed by Rob Liefeld who’s namesake adorns this Set Title
SO HOW DID YOU GET THIS ONE???
This one was through a boardie selling in the Modern forum. I just happened to look over at the selling forum and happened to be one of the first individuals to see it. Couldn’t possibly pass up in this grade or at the given price. This was bought signed already and had Comics to Astonish not had a cheaper costing book I would have bought my 88 from him as well.
MY TYPE OF SUMMARY:
I’ll probably down load this one onto my iPad at some point. Give me something to read for a few days I guess. Then I will have to write up a full summary.

Yes, finally was able to pick this one up. Took a very long time of searching and conservativly bidding but I guess persistence finally paid out in the end...that or everyone else finally got one. Not rare by any standards just something I truly wanted to add to my collection and hope to either get Joe Q or John Middleton to sign.
For me this was the issue I wanted to obtain more to be able to pass on to my daughter Lani. She reminds me of X-23 in this one as at times I think she has her fathers temper but is also steahlty quiet when she wants to be.
Something happens in this one and stuff goes "shink" like with her fathers ways but its who I want to give this one to that makes this pick-up beyond worth it.

This was just one of those iconic fight scene's that I grew to love. Additionally this was my first attempt at sending in a comic to be graded that had come from my childhood collection. Not bad at 9.6 for being taken care of by a child. Lord knows how many times I opened this issue especially after knowing one of the best villains I have ever enjoyed reading about was being introduced in the next issue.

This one is funny. According to the CGC Census there are only two that have been graded and I own both of them with one at 9.8 and one at 9.8SS Signed by Rob Liefeld. Now that I own the SS I’m gonna have to let go of the 9.8 now.
Story Title: Flashed Before My Eyes
SUMMARY:
Sauron gloats about killing Sam. Boom Boom's yelling causes Cable to have a flashback. We're given a glimpse of Cable's past for almost the rest of the issue. He's the leader of a team called Wild Pack. They're invading a Hydra research facility in search of a stolen component. After dispatching the goons, they get inside the lab. Hammer accidentally triggers a fail-safe and Baron von Strucker's image appears everywhere. He threatens to kill them so they quickly retrieve the device and body slide out of there. It turns out that they were working for A.I.M. Later on, the team goes their separate ways. Cable ends up time sliding into the future where he's actually from. He finds out from his computer, Professor, that there's a new possible awakening. The name of the possible High Lord, Sam Guthrie. Cable decides it is his duty to train Cannonball and heads back in time, six months to a year before his Awakening. Back in the present, Sam isn't waking up. Cable wonders if he truly was a High Lord. He vents his anger on Sauron, by blowing him away.
PERSONAL COMMENTS:
As mentioned above this was a cool one to say I had graded on my own and one of my first CGC send off’s of an older comic to send and retain the 9.8 status. Although now I do plan to start sending more from this series I will most likely go the cautious route of pre-grading so that I don’t end up with a ton of 9.4’s and 9.6’s for which I am trying to avoid.

KEY ISSUE: Yes, this is the first official Domino appearance as the previous one was Copycat and not Domino.
Fabian Nicieza & Rob Liefeld story
Mark Pacella and Dan Panosian Art
Rob Liefeld Cover
While it isn’t as many as issue number 2 with the second official Deadpool sighting this one is rather high on numbers graded. Officially on the census there are a grand total of 32 graded as 9.8 of those 4 including this one graded as 9.8SS. Truly happy with the placement of the signature as so not to detract from the art itself.
Story Title: Friendly Reminders
SUMMARY:
Morlock Tunnels
X-Force enters into the catacombs of the Morlock tunnels. They bring with them the bodies of Sauron, Masque and their prisoner Thornn. The Morlocks are seen cowering in the shadows and upon realizing that the intruders are X-Force, they slink further back. Cable announces that he has come to warn them of what will happen should they further attack X-Force and throws the body of Sauron and Masque at them. He then releases Thornn to them and they leave.
X-Force's Headquarters
Shatterstar trains in the team's danger room of sorts. He does not realize that there is an intruder in the box above him. Deadpool watches him and learns his weaknesses in fighting after he has knocked out Siryn. He then crashes into the room and starts fighting with Shatterstar. Deadpool quickly takes him out. He then moves on to Domino.
Domino is studying up on her teammates when Deadpool makes his appearance. He knocks Domino around and continues to call her Vanessa. He reveals that she has been working as a mole for Tolliver and has been giving him trade secrets on the team but has stopped recently. They continue to fight and Deadpool threatens that she must start giving Tolliver what he wants or Tolliver will come after her. He then reveals that she is not really Domino and has just taken her persona.
S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier
Weapon X is shown on a giant screen and he tells Bridge that Cable runs both the MLF as well as X-Force. Bridge does not understand what Cable is up to and they agree that Cable must be brought in to find out. Kane states that he wants SHIELD to help, but keep quiet about their involvement. He then says he has gathered Weapon: PRIME to bring Cable in.
Tolliver's Austrian Castle
Tolliver enters the depths of his secret castle. He walks with Pico and enters a room where he is keeping a prisoner. He states that she has been there for more than a year and has not adjusted to their hospitality. The prisoner is revealed to be none other than the real Domino.
PERSONAL COMMENTS:
This is officially the first issue of one of my more favored characters Domino. Have grown to really enjoy her as a character and now as a love interest of Colossus in the new Cable and X-Force series. Hopefully Marvel keeps that going as they are certainly more interesting than Kitty and him. Anyways really have to thank GACollectibles as well as Ronnylama with this issue. On my X-Force Set and the eventual Liefeld X-Force Set this is one of those issues that truly stands out in my collection.
Absolutely amazing.
