"Hello Slim, Killed anyone lately?"
--Wolverine
Classic Wolverine saying here. By far my favorite page of this entire comic was the last one depicting Wolverine sitting backwards on a chair with what started out as a six pack asking Cyclops if he'd killed anyone lately refering back to his actions in Avengers vs. X-Men 11 when he killed his father figure.
While this issue is slow on the action for the most part that's the point. Wolverine takes the kids on a field trip that turns into the peacful people of Wakanda shooting a laser at them. Storm's no considered a criminal and we get a look at what has happened to Cyclops since being scraped off the floor.
Usually Marvel just bounces from what area to another but I enjoyed there take on further explaining the "Consequences" of the Mutant's decisions.
Being a hge Cable and Hope fan I'm glad they chose the runaway dad perspective. Cable first and foremost is a Soldier. To make him into the father that cooks breakfast would have been a little weird for me.
Over-all a good start to a good closing the loop of a story.
As for how I was able to get ahold of this one I have to thank galehaut for that. Knowing how much I enjoy the 9.8's he knew I was going to fall out of my chair for this one and the moment I saw it was the highest so far I practically did. Hopefully I can get my hands on a coveted 10 or maybe even get another Signature Series in 9.8.
Picture to be posted as soon as possible.

"I thought your power was Eyebeams, Cyclops, not Kung Fu!"
--Random guy Jake
I have to say I really like this issue and not just because they finally show my favorite brother sister combo but because I was starting to get depressed with Cyclops whole demeaner and thought someone really did need to put this guy out of his misery.
But Cyclops decides "No More Martyr" and goes Jet Li on a group of inmates looking for him to drop the soap.
Additionally this one has one of those iconic Splash pages on page 1 for me. Front in center is Ironman doing his best Captain Morgan leg up pose with Lei Kung and a random kid on his shoulders surveying the reconstruction.
Overall great issue that I was able to acquire an art page from Scot Eaton of Cyclops putting an inmates face into the ground. When looking at the pencils on the original art this looks like something I would do to my dog if he peed on the rug.
Will post photos as soon as possible.

"Have you ever felt small, Hope Summers? I never had. I dislike it intensely."
--Namor
"And a Jetpack. I loved that Jetpack."
--Hope
"The Heart is a sentimental organ. I trust it no longer."
--Colossus
"If you find my sister... Kill her"
--Colossus
"Our roles are nothing more than how times choose to cast us."
--Magneto
"Well Ladies, Villains it is"
--Magneto
If you can't tell already this one had a few quotes I liked. In fact of the series so far this was probably the best one yet. When I post the regular copy on here I'll write more about the story line but for me I loved the variant cover. Magneto looks like he's about to go to town on some people in this cover.
Anyways another 9.8 to add to the lot.
